The climate impact viewer shows the results of a climate change impact assessment based on the Integrated Climate Assessment-Risks, Uncertainties and Society (ICA-RUS) and Comprehensive Research on the Development of Global Climate Change Risk Management Strategies (S-10 Strategic Research Project) supported by the environmental research and technology development fund of the Ministry of the Environment of Japan (Emori et al. 2018). Regarding the impact assessment of climate change, process-based impact models for multiple sectors were used for future influence projections (Emori et al. 2018). The sectors covered in AP-PLAT are (a) Agriculture, (b) Vegetation, (c) Water resources, (d) Floods, (e) Health, and (f) Climate. The impact model analyses were coordinated to use the same set of climate scenarios from the selected five climate models used in the fifth phase of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project (CMIP5; Taylor et al. 2012), namely GFDL-ESM2M, HadGEM2-ES, IPSL-CM5A-LR, MIROC-ESM-CHEM, and NorESM1-M for the four levels (2.6, 4.5, 6.0, and 8.5) of the Representative Concentration Pathways (RCP). The Regional Climate Consortium for Asia and the Pacific (RCCAP) was developed through the Regional Climate Projections Consortium and Data Facility in Asia and the Pacific technical assistance project, funded by the Asian Development Bank. It provides access to climate data, and guidance material and other resources made available through that project and through climate change science programs in the Pacific. MOEJ and ADB agreed to share climate risk information provided by RCCAP on AP-PLAT. The results in the table below from RCCAP are shown in the climate impact viewer.

This page provides a list of adaptation platforms developed by organizations/institutes worldwide and offers a brief outline of platforms and links to them.
Adaptation action should follow a country-driven, gender-responsive, participatory and fully transparent approach, taking into consideration vulnerable groups, communities and ecosystems, and should be based on and guided by the best available science and, as appropriate, traditional knowledge, knowledge of indigenous peoples and local knowledge systems, with a view to integrating adaptation into relevant socioeconomic and environmental policies and actions, where appropriate (Paris Agreement, Article 7: https://unfccc.int/sites/default/files/english_paris_agreement.pdf). This page accumulates guidelines on that matters in order to contribute to relevant policy/plan development and implementations.
The G20 Action Agenda on Adaptation and Resilient Infrastructure is concluded by the G20 Environment Ministers as one of outcomes of the G20 Adaptation Work Program (2018-2019), which outlines actions, initiatives, and best practices that G20 members wish to highlight and share with other countries.
