Senegal Integrated Urban Flood Management Project: FP021

Project Outline

This project seeks to support Senegalese policy on flood risk management through a disaster risk reduction perspective, by participating in drainage infrastructure investment that is necessary in one of the most vulnerable areas of the capital city (Pikine Irrégulier Sud), and by establishing a national-scale integrated policy for disaster risk management in order to optimize investment at a national scale, and most importantly to deal with risks that will never be cost-efficiently covered by infrastructure.
